Botanical name: Juniper horizontalis

Juniper horizontalis is found in Europe, southwestern Asia up to Himalayas and North America. Juniper essential oil is obtained from steam distillation of needles and berries of Juniper horizontalis. It is colorless or pale yellow liquid with sweet ,fresh and woody balsamic odor.

  • Inhalation for bronchitis
  • Soothes, tone and reduces oiliness of skin

Major constituents: Alpha pinene, Myrcene, delta-3-carene, limonene, alpha and beta cubebene.

• • Juniper also stimulates menstrual bleeding hence should be avoided by pregnant women.
